About the Frederick Loewe Estate

The Frederick Loewe Estate is a historic, 3-acre lovely property located in the heart of Palm Springs, available for vacations rentals, special events and weddings. The private, self-contained estate is often referred to as magical.  

Built in 1956, this stunning Palm Springs estate was the home of Tony and Oscar-winning Broadway composer Frederick Loewe (My Fair Lady, Camelot). The celebrity home retainsmany original details and the Mid-century modern design emblematic of ‘50s Palm Springs.  With glass walls, over 5,000 square feet of space, four bedrooms, and four-and-a-half bathrooms, the spacious home offers unparalleled panoramic views from nearly every room.  The residence has character and is furnished with extensive art, memorabilia and vintage pieces throughout the house and grounds.

In its November 14, 1960 issue, Time magazine described the Frederick Loewe Estate as an “airy, glass pleasure dome;” that remains true today.  Frederick Loewe called it his Camelot.

Set on a boulder strewn hillside, the estate offers unparalleled, jaw-dropping, 360-degree views of the San Jacinto Mountains, Coachella Valley below and lavishly landscaped grounds and paths. From the early hours of the morning as the sun rises over the valley until the sun sets and the city lights sparkle alive, this estate offers the best vantage point in Palm Springs bar none. Frederick Loewe so loved the views he had a turntable built for his bed allowing him to enjoy the vista from multiple angles throughout the day and night.  This unique feature remains, so you can experience that luxury for yourself.

The sprawling grounds of the estate make it an idyllic wedding venue, event space, or just a place to kick back and relax. Take a walk around the acreage and you’ll find gorgeous flora, a semi-exclusive tennis court, a grotto style spa, a pool, waterfalls, sculptures and original artwork. There are over 100 olive trees, 33 palm trees and numerous citrus trees, flowers and cacti on the 3-acre property.

The Loewe Estate is far from the only culturally significant house in the neighborhood; Design, architecture, history and pop-culture aficionados alike will be vacationing among iconic homes including the Kaufmann House, Edris House, Raymond Loewy House, Elvis House and Bing Crosby House.

The North Palm Canyon Design District and Downtown Palm Springs are a five minute drive, and Palm Springs International Airport is 10 minutes away. Corporate Event

• One-day corporate, mid-week (Tues-Thu) venue rental starts at $17,500 (not inclusive of event-related expenses, i.e., permits, etc.)

• One-day corporate, weekend (Fri-Mon) venue rental starts at $24,500 (not inclusive of event-related expenses, i.e., permits, etc.)

• Overnight accommodations are not included in Corporate Event pricing, but can be added at prevailing rates

• Coachella four-day minimum, starting at $40,000 (+ event fees)
